From 8–10 April 2026, our founder Abdul Taha Shaikh represented Taha Airwaves at the Petersburg International Labour Forum 2026 in Saint Petersburg, Russia — a closed, invite-only industry forum on international labour mobility.
This was a state-level engagement, not an open exhibition. Participation by licensed Indian recruitment agencies was coordinated by India's Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of India in Moscow, bringing together government bodies, employers and a select group of compliant manpower agencies.
Why This Forum Matters
The Russian Federation is one of the fastest-growing corridors for verified Indian manpower. The forum focused on the structures that make that growth sustainable:
- Legal labour mobility — work-permit quotas, invitation letters and compliant deployment channels into Russia and the CIS
- Worker welfare standards — documentation, contracts and post-arrival support for deployed workers
- Government-to-government coordination — aligning Indian emigration procedures with Russian migration requirements
- Employer demand mapping — construction, manufacturing, logistics and agriculture requirements across Russian regions

Direct Conversations with Russian Employers
Across the three days, our founder met Russian employers, staffing organisations and institutional delegates to discuss verified Indian workforce supply — from requirement briefs and quota planning to staged batch mobilization timelines of 1–3 months.
These conversations continue through our Moscow desk, which handles work-permit registration, invitation letters and fast-track deployment for the Russia and CIS corridor year-round.

What It Means for Employers
For employers in Russia and the CIS, our participation translates into practical advantages:
- Recognised, licensed channel — we operate under Government of India License B-3260/DEL/COM/100/5/11259/2025 with MEA coordination
- Direct institutional relationships — engagement with the Embassy of India in Moscow on welfare and documentation standards
- Corridor expertise — quota planning, invitation letters and compliant visa processing handled end to end
- Proven mobilization — 5,000+ workers deployed, with Russia and Europe deployments completing in 1–3 months
